OneDrive: Sync Support for up to 1 million items on Windows

OneDrive Sync on Windows can now support up to 1 million items in preview, enabling larger-scale document library synchronization. Devices must meet minimum hardware and configuration requirements and join the Insiders ring to participate; existing devices without enrollment continue syncing at the current 300,000-item limit without disruption.

Action required: Enroll Windows devices in the Insiders ring and verify hardware/configuration requirements to test syncing up to 1 million items; non-participating devices remain at 300,000-item limit.

Microsoft's description

OneDrive Sync supports syncing up to 1 million items on Windows devices, helping teams manage large document libraries and shared content at scale without compromising access across devices. This preview requires the Insiders ring and that devices meet minimum hardware and configuration requirements. Devices that don't meet these requirements continue to sync at the existing 300,000-item supported limit with no disruption.
