Microsoft Teams: Express face enrollment
A new opt-in feature allows users to create facial profiles during Teams meetings, which enables automatic identification in Teams Rooms experiences and enhances meeting features like Copilot and recap. Admins must decide whether to enable or disable this capability for their organization.
Action required: Review and enable or disable express face enrollment for your organization based on privacy and security policy requirements.
Microsoft's description
Express face enrollment makes it easier for users to create a face profile in Teams by using their camera during eligible meetings, after they opt in. Once enrolled, users can be recognized in supported Teams Rooms experiences, helping identify who is in the room and improving downstream meeting experiences such as Copilot and recap. Admins can enable or disable the feature for their organization.
