Dynamics 365 Commerce: Tap to Pay on Android using Adyen connector
Dynamics 365 Commerce is introducing Tap to Pay functionality on Android devices via the Adyen connector, allowing sales associates to accept NFC payments directly on Android devices running Store Commerce App. This is currently in preview and requires the Adyen payment app to be installed on devices.

This reduces the need for costly payment hardware, streamlines checkout experiences, and enhances customer engagement by allowing transactions anywhere in the store. Feature Details This feature enables Tap to Pay on Android devices running the Store Commerce App via the Adyen payment connector. As a prerequisite, the Adyen payment app must be installed on each device. When a sales associate initiates Tap to Pay, Store Commerce seamlessly launches Adyen’s payment app to start the NFC payment experience, allowing customers to tap NFC-enabled cards or mobile wallets directly on the Android device. Upon completion, the authorized payment details are securely passed back to Store Commerce, which updates the transaction accordingly. This context handoff between Store Commerce and the Adyen app establishes an extensible pattern that can be leveraged for additional scenarios e.g., loading custom apps built on PowerApps.
