Microsoft Teams: AI-generated meeting memory for knowledge retention (formerly AI-generated meeting archive)
Admins can now configure Copilot to retain key meeting insights beyond standard transcript expiration, enabling continued access to meeting information. This requires tenant-wide policy configuration and allows admins to control archive storage duration.

Teams will store AI-generated meeting memory files for meetings where Intelligent Recap was turned on, allowing Copilot (and Facilitator) to retain key insights from meetings beyond transcript retention periods and when a transcript was not saved. This enables Copilot to continue answering questions about past meetings even after the transcript expires or the meeting is over. Admins can also configure how long this AI-generated meeting memory file is stored.
